introduction

Welcome!

I am the possibility of health and healing for individuals and communities. I am committed to being at the source of creating healthy community that leaves people feeling empowered in Oakland, the East Bay, and in the entire world. I believe that healthy community begins with healthy individuals that are empowered to take responsibility for their healing journey. Through offering the gift of therapeutic massage, I strive to guide individuals on the journey towards healing mind, body, and spirit, so that each may in turn create holistic healing at the level of community and ultimately the world.

I have devoted my personal and professional life to holistic and alternative practices. I am committed to studying the prevailing theories and latest developments in the field of healing arts, to meeting high standards within the field, and to always striving towards excellence. To date, I have completed over 630 hours of massage training with some of the leading instructors in the field (see the education and bio page for details).

I am excited to be offering a unique style of integrated massage, for relaxation and balancing as well as relief of chronic pain. Combining soft-tissue, neuromuscular, Chinese meridian, and craniosacral based therapies, I offer a style of massage that goes way beyond your typical massage session to locate, isolate, and address the source of imbalances and discomfort.

If you are considering getting you're first professional massage, I encourage you to read my promises to you as well as the description of your massage session.

I am now practicing exclusively at Studio 12, a private studio at my home conveniently located near downtown Oakland. At Studio 12, you will experience a peaceful and tranquil setting with a professional, private, dedicated massage studio. Appointments are always required at Studio 12.

I look forward to meeting you, and designing an integrated session to address your needs!

Namaste,

Cortt T. Dunlap, BA, CMT
