description

At your session, you will first be required to fill out a confidential client information form (requires a pdf reader, such as acrobat reader) when you arrive (which I encourage you to print and fill out prior to your appointment).

Incense, candles, fresh flowers, and other personal touches will welcome you into the present moment. For specifics, please read more about Studio 12.

Together, we will design your session to honor the uniqueness of your being, including the focus of the session, the style of bodywork to employ, the desired temperature of the room (the massage table is equipped with a special heating pad that can be adjusted to your comfort), level of ambient light, depth of the massage (do you like a light touch or more deep bodywork?), your music preferences, and any other special needs you may have.

You will be encouraged and empowered to inform me of anything you may be in need of, any questions you may have, and to provide feedback about the quality of the touch at any point in the session. There is no wrong time during a massage to express your needs!

I will be using special massage oils and lotions (with or without essential oils), and these oils are likely to come in contact with your face and hair. Please let me know if you would like these areas avoided. Both the oils and the lotions that I use should hydrate the skin and be readily absorbed. A hand towel will be provided to remove any excess oils.

We may combine breathing techniques and meditation to bring you more fully into your body and the moment, and to maximize the many positive effects of the therapy.

You will be encouraged to drink extra water in the days following your appointment which can help carry away toxins released from your soft tissues during the massage. Filtered water will be provided to you at the appointment.

Although traditionally performed with the client unclothed, you may disrobe or not to your level of comfort.

You will be properly draped during the entire session.

A typical full body session may include work on your back, shoulders, neck, head, face, belly (abdominals), upper chest (pectorals), and the front and back of your entire arms, hands, feet and legs. We will work together to design a massage for your individual needs, and you are encouraged to request to have special attention given to any specific areas of tension at any point in the massage.

PLEASE NOTE: My intention is to provide a therapeutic, healing experience, and never a sexual experience. Touching with a sexual intention is outside the bounds of my practice. Those seeking a sexual experience of any degree should inquire elsewhere.

"I'm always amazed at how Cortt can zero in on the source of the tension. His work is both incredibly intuitive and highly skilled."
